Project Structure - Research Modules

The four natural science modules of ALARM, plus the socio-economics module, a sixth module of cross-cutting analyses of multiple pressures across landscapes, and a seventh module at the coordination which includes training activities, dissemination of scientific results.

The modules are organized by module heads, who are well-known experts in their fields. The module heads are represented by their institute's name in the figure.
  • The socio-economics module is headed by SERI, Sustainable Europe Research Institute;
  • the climate change module is headed by LUND, Lund University;
  • the module for research on biological invasions is organized by NERC, Natural Environmental Research Council, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology;
  • research on the loss of pollinators is headed by GAUG, university of Göttingen, but will soon change to university of Bayreuth, due to a job change of this working group;
  • the module on environmental chemicals is headed by NERI, National Environmental Research Institute.
